National Taiwan University (TWN) - Open Rank Professor - 20th Century American Literature Established in 1928, National Taiwan University is a leading research university in Taiwan with over 30,000 students. The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures (DFLL) welcomes applications for the following faculty positions.
General requirements: Minimum requirements include a PhD in related fields and a strong publication record. Teaching experience at the university level is strongly preferred. All full-time faculty members are required to teach DFLL service courses such as writing, conversation, and (if applicable) Freshman English and also (if applicable) to direct theses and serve on various university and department committees. Typical Duties & Responsibilities
The instructional load will be 5 courses per year, and the candidate will be expected to teach our introductory Literature and Composition course (which always includes a play by Shakespeare), as well as upper-level courses that can serve the English major and the Arts and Humanities major in Environmental Studies.

Southern Utah University (UT) - Assistant Professor of English, 20th- and 21st-Century American Literature
The Department of English invites applications for a tenure-track position in 20th- and 21st-century American literature, with a preferred specialization in either African American, Latinx, Afro-Latinx, Native American/Indigenous, or Asian American literature, beginning Fall 2020. We are particularly interested in candidates who will contribute to diversity and excellence through teaching, research, and service.
The candidate should be qualified to teach specialized and survey courses in American literature, required courses for the major (including introduction to critical theory), and introductory and intermediate composition writing courses with a 4-4 annual course load.
English faculty members are expected to attend and present at academic conferences and publish in their fields of expertise. SUU requires service to the department, university, and community, as well as participation in related academic and professional organizations. Faculty members must represent the highly collegial English Department with integrity and in a professional and pleasant manner.
Required Qualifications

Fluency in the critical vocabularies and methods of ethnic studies required, along with expertise in one or more of the following: settler colonialism, critical race studies, queer theory, intersectional feminism, performance studies, theater, film, or new media.

Southwestern University invites applications for a tenure-track position beginning Fall 2020 in post-1865 American literature. Candidates must have a PhD in English and be committed to the professional life of a teacher-scholar at a national liberal arts institution. National University of Ireland, Galway -- Lecturer (Full-time, Permanent) in Contemporary Literature
Applications are invited for a full-time permanent appointment as Lecturer Above the Bar in English (Contemporary Literature) at NUI Galway.
The appointee will teach and research in the area of Contemporary Literature. They will also be expected to contribute to one or more of the following strategic development areas: Literature of North America; Global/World Literatures; Young Adult Literature; Digital Humanities; Ecocriticism. Applicants must hold a PhD in a relevant field and have experience in third-level teaching.
The discipline of English is the largest in the School of English and Creative Arts, with over 1000 undergraduates, 80 MA students and 30 PhD students. We teach a broad undergraduate curriculum, touching on all major historical periods and genres, and we run five taught MA programmes: the MA in English, MA in Literature and Publishing, MA in Culture and Colonialism, MA in Writing, and MA in Digital Cultures. Our staff also contribute to other programmes in Journalism, Creative Writing, Theatre Studies, Irish Studies and Digital Arts and Technology.
