The Department of Education and Youth Studies at Beloit College in Beloit, Wisconsin invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position (non-tenure track) beginning in Fall of 2022.  The position requires teaching two or more sections of one or two introductory foundations of education courses, two sections of a teaching practicum course, and one section of a research methods course.  The teaching load is 3-3.

Qualifications:  PhD., Ed.D. or ABD in education. Teaching experience in US K-12 schools is preferred.  Commitment to, and excellence in undergraduate teaching is required.

Director of Teacher Education/ Adjunct Assistant Professor of Education & Youth Studies[]

The Department of Education and Youth Studies at Beloit College in Beloit, Wisconsin, invites applications for a full-time (11-month) Director of Teacher Education/Adjunct Assistant Professor of Education and Youth Studies position beginning in Fall of 2022. This long-term faculty/administrative staff hybrid position requires teaching 4-5 courses per year including one language and literacy methods course, and other courses needed by the program, advising students, and placing and supervising student teachers. This position also supports the department’s ongoing maintenance and the renewing of its teaching licensure program with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, and strengthens the department’s partnerships with other campus organizations and regional partners such as the local school districts.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of Masters in Education; Ph.D., or Ed.D. preferred.
  2. At least three years teaching experience in language and literacy in U.S.-based K-12 schools.
  3. Extensive community-based work with diverse groups preferred.
