  • APPLICATION DEADLINE: Review of applications to begin November 15, 2018. Position opened until filled (or recruitment canceled)
  • UPDATE (11/30/18): Did anyone else receive an email in CSS/HTML with a link from the Office of Equity and Diversity for an anonymous survey? I clicked on the link and filled out the survey, but then went back to my inbox and the email was completely erased (not in my trash or spam). Really weird!
  • I did not receive this request..should I have?
  • (12/10/18): I got that email request on 11/30, too, and filled it out. It's still in my inbox. It looks like it's just automatic from the university, not associated with the particular department but is does say it is required somehow...? Odd that it would be sent two weeks after submission of applications.
  • [12/10/2018] Is this the same job they posted a couple years ago? Was it a failed search?
  • [12/99/2018] ...crickets on this one...
  • UPDATE (12/30/2018): I have some info. I'm not an applicant, but I do know a couple of things. First, the last search/ announcement was not a failed search. This is a new tenure line. From what I know, they haven't looked at/ received the applications yet. This is the (reliable) rumor mill talking, but it seems (and this sounds dumb) that the university has a pre-vetting process (?) and releases applications to the department? Not sure how that works exactly, but I do know they they have yet to interview/ schedule phone/ campus visits. Hang tight, people. Shitty advice, I know. I'm an applicant in another discipline, so just trying to ease some anxieties. If I can answer any questions I can, I will. Sorry if this sounds cryptic, but trying to help.
  • CONFIRM THAT THIS IS A NEW LINE, not from a failed search
  • Any updates on this one? Presumably interview requests have gone out?
  • I haven't heard a peep (1/27)
  • ^Same, have heard nothing since the OED survey post application submission (1/29)
  • Skype interview scheduled by email on 2/4/19
  • Campus interviews scheduled for March 2019
  • does anyone know if an offer has been made?
