The School of Architecture, Planning, and Landscape Architecture at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama, is accepting applications for a tenure-track (9 month/year,) position as an Assistant Professor. This position begins August 16, 2012. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
The teaching responsibilities of this position will include architectural design studios and courses in building systems and construction technologies. The successful candidate will also be required to maintain an active scholarly program disseminated through appropriate disciplinary, peer-reviewed venues.
Requirements for this position include a master's degree in architecture, or a professional degree in architecture and a terminal degree in a related field. Preferred qualifications include: professional practice experience, experience teaching in a professional architecture degree program, additional degrees in engineering or related fields, evidence of research/creative work scholarship, or the ability to develop a productive research/creative work scholarly program, and interest and ability to develop and teach courses which emphasize the integration of advanced material and construction technologies in architectural design.
