Scripps College Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Religious Studies
Scripps College, a women’s liberal arts college with a strong interdisciplinary tradition, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Religious Studies, with a specialization in early Christian studies. Preference will be given to applicants with temporal and geographic range, whose research and teaching engage with critical theory (e.g., postcolonial, decolonial, and/or queer theory) as well as Africana Studies. Applicants must have an active research and publishing program, demonstrated excellence in teaching, and PhD in hand at time of appointment. Participation in the Core Curriculum in Interdisciplinary Humanities program is expected. Preference will be given to applicants with a commitment to the College’s goal of improving higher education for underrepresented students.
