Q: Wondering why people are not reporting successful job offers. Have a lot of positions been thrown in limbo or canceled with hiring freezes? (X3 also wondering this--most years it just seems like no one wants to be the first person to announce they've signed a contract, but ... this is not like most years). A: I mean...earlier this year people were complaining about the posts listing the names of people who'd left places and saying it was creepy, plus the speculation about inside hires with different jobs. I imagine no one wants to post any specifics after that. Other answer: You also just need to give people a list to fill in the blank. Build it and they'll come, etc. (One person thought it was creepy while the overwhelming majority felt it was helpful for non-creepy reasons.) *This place is pretty much useless now that no one reports successful searches. I don't need another site to tell me what jobs are available; I can do that on my own. Oh well. *If you or someone you know got a job, plz put that name in the WHO GOT THE JOB! Toot your/their horn! In this terrible crisis in higher education, we need to see those wins. It's information, it's closure (for those who applied), but also a way to recognize the successes for those in our community.

Who previously held the job?[]

In some cases this year (and every year) these job postings are replacing people who have moved on to other institutions. This can be useful knowledge if you want to find out more about the position from the last person who held it. For example:

Know of other replacements or moves? Add them here.

NC State replacing Eduardo Corral who moved to Wash U and Sumita Chakraborty who moved to UVA. (Wondering if the line for Taylor Schey, the spousal hire that Sumita Chakraborty had at NC State, will also open up? He is also spousal at UVA now.) Answer: No, it won't, because he was not on the tenure track. Question: Anyone know if they're replacing both poets? I assumed it was a single line. Answer: It is also possible that Eduardo Corral hired the other poet knowing he would be leaving after Carl Phillips retired. She and Meg Day were hired at the same time and the job posting had been for one hire. Actual Answer to the previous two questions: No and no. Follow up: So the line that's currently listed is really an inside hire, they basically hired two at once making this listing window dressing for one already tapped for the job? Answer: No, the position is not an inside hire. They are hiring for one poetry position, although yes two poets left (Eduardo and Sumita).

Cornell position might be from Alice Fulton retiring!

Reed College Poetry/Poetics - Is this an inside higher with Peter Miller? (Would love to know the answer to this as well! Their posting for a TT Poetry Prof. last year certainly was inside.. Ugh. Obnoxious! lol) [Oh boy! Now I'm wondering if their current fiction posting will also be an inside hire with Sara Jaffe].

Virginia Commonwealth University had two retirements last year. Clint McCown (fiction) and David Wojahn (poetry). The new TT listing is for either fiction or poetry specializations.

Sweet Briar College VAP is replacing four English/Creative Writing professors who resigned in 2024-2025.

WORD ON THE STREET[]

Not sure why someone just deleted a bunch of helpful info including Zoom schedules and answers to questions. Here you can find what they deleted, answers from multiple users: https://academicjobs.fandom.com/wiki/Creative_Writing_2024-2025?diff=669190&oldid=prev

  • Is it me, or there is nothing but adjunct professor ads on HigherEdJobs?
  • there are a LOT of temporary/contingent jobs there this year, but there have been a few permanent/TT ones too. Feels less like the clearinghouse it's been in other years, which makes me wonder whether there will be a bulk of jobs elsewhere or whether they'll just be scattered this year.
  • I think also the usual schedule of ads going up in summer with deadlines in October, interviews by MLA, offers by February, is sort of out the window. This was already a little wobbly before the pandemic, but now (it seems) there are far more TT jobs postings going up at surprising times. Also-also—if we look at the bigger, darker, picture—it seems admins at less financially stable institutions are just doing away with permanent and TT lines when people leave and using adjuncts instead. That said, I'm still crossing my fingers for TT ads going up in the next couple months! Extending this answer: I'll admit I'm getting a bit spooked at this point. More are trickling out, but it's definitely looking like slim pickins this year...
  • Well, at our English Department, we're down from 10 TT lines and one FT faculty member to 5 TT lines, all in the space of ten years. After requesting reinforcements for the last several years, we finally got approved for a TT line shared with another department.
  • At the English dept where I’m the most recent tt hire, I took over a line for a person who retired. Someone else retired in the spring, and we were about to conduct a search but the line was given to another department because they had more of a need. There was another retirement in literature (a guy I never met) and that search (for a POC hire) has been put on hold. Feels like places are hiring less TT.
  • Update: Thanks for the answer. I remember seeing more TT jobs at this time of year when I first was in the market two years ago. Now, it is pretty quiet out there. The point about TT jobs popping up randomly at any time well taken--hope it's the case this year.
  • QUESTION: Has anyone heard of a candidate getting the job without a published book even though the job ad listed it as a minimum requirement? I'm wondering how strict ad committees are about this and if I should bother with those programs/schools that specifically say "at least one book published."
  • Response to above question. Yes, I know a few people who've received jobs without books. It depends on the department needs and the candidate match. It usually happens to people who are actively sending out manuscripts or represented by an agent and hope to have a contract before the job starts. Again, it depends on the job listing/candidate match/needs of school, so it's hard to say.
  • I was able to get a job with no book at one of these institutions, although it was years ago and I ultimately turned it down. I've known friends who were able to also, but they generally had a very strong publication record even without the book. It seems harder to get the positions that have graduate programs, which makes sense, instead of primarily undergraduate institutions. Although, I've also been on search committees where the chair said they had to look at applicants that matched what was in the ad (so if it said book, they needed to look at people with books) so as not to get potentially sued, so I dunno. I think they're worth applying to since you never know the overall pool of applicants, for one thing, and you may be able to offer something else the dept needs that could swing it/make it worthwhile for them without having the book, but I also wouldn't put too much hope in those jobs just from a mental health standpoint.
  • To add to the above, the wording of "preferred" vs. "required" makes a difference. From what I've been told by HR and chairs, an applicant/finalist with a book could sue if the person hired doesn't match the "required" credentials listed in the ad. Though in practice I doubt stuff like that actually happens.
  • Adding also to the above: I know three people who got TT jobs without books, and just a few nice but not overly-prestigious pubs, all at small unis in rural Texas. So maybe there's something to be said for less-desirable locations (with possibly less apps) being better shots for those without books yet.
  • Also, if you have a PhD, don't overlook "generalist" jobs. I have applied to several of these jobs that didn't mention CW in the ad, yet when I got to the interview, they asked about my CW background and said I could teach it, or said they wanted to offer CW more often. These were undergrad jobs at SLACS or regional state universities. I actually landed at one of these places and, indeed, am teaching creative writing and leading the creative writing club. Again, the ad for this position did not mention CW, but if a department is seeking a "generalist," you never know what the overall teaching range will be.
  • News about Stanford Creative Writing: https://stanforddaily.com/2024/08/29/stanford-cycle-out-creative-writing-lecturers/.
  • QUESTION: Is there any argument to be made for applying to positions that are not your primary genre (i.e. the one your published book falls under)? Have others done this? I'm wondering because I can certainly teach (advanced) fiction, even though I'd be considered a nonfiction writer based on my publications.
    • Answer: If I were in an admission committee and received such a dossier, I would try and see how the candidate chooses to present themselves and their body of work. With a caveat that I have never served in an adcom, I'd still think the cover letter offers enough creative license for a candidate to designate a primary genre that is different from what the "documents" (degrees, publications, etc.) suggest, positioning themselves as an author, first and foremost, rather than being pigeon-holed to one specific genre by choice or circumstance. More specific and concrete to your situation, if you believe that you can teach advanced/intermediate fiction, perhaps you can discuss how you'll be able to do this in your teaching statement or by uploading sample syllabi.
    • (not OP nor the person addressing the question) Part of the problem with applying is that often, depending on the type of institution, for tenure and promotion you will have to publish a book or books in that genre, I have books in multiple genres, and even with that was told on interviews at more than a few places that I would have to publish in that genre to be successful. Schools with graduate programs most likely will also want someone published in that genre, for a variety of reasons. I would still apply because you never know, but think the time might be better served at SLACs, particularly those where they need people to teach in multiple genres (to get more bang for their buck) but the downside is a lot of those schools aren't doing too hot.
    • Answer: I have served on several search committees for faculty and administrator positions. Search committees at public institutions are usually bound by HR to fill out a matrix for each applicant, which allows them to justify hiring decisions in case an applicant chooses to sue because they weren't offered the job. There's a difference between "required" and "preferred" qualifications--if an ad lists published work in a genre as "required," candidates whose application shows no evidence of work in that required genre are immediately disqualified. There is some flexibility with "preferred" qualifications--meaning it would be nice but not necessary to get to the next stage of the process, so the candidate is not immediately disqualified. The more boxes that a candidate checks, the more likely they are to make it to the next stage. Even if a candidate has taught a cw course on fiction, if the job ad listed "published works of fiction" as a required qualification and the applicant has no fictions publications, the application wouldn't progress.
    • Answer: I apply in multiple genres as long as I am not explicitly disqualified according to the wording of their ad (like if it says you need a book, and this is the genre you would teach, but does not specify that the book needs to be in that genre). I don't see a downside to it if you are willing to take the time to prepare the application. They frequently want a secondary genre for teaching anyway.
  • Claremont has posted its TT ad on MLA, one with a different deadline (September 30, 2024), in case you think you missed the original 09/01 deadline. Answer: Heard the "committee" at CMC already has someone "in mind" and qualifications were written that way. Not sure if a real search. Update: according to a student there, this was not a true or national search. There was only one job talk by an internal candidate who is a personal friend of the committee members and received an offer as a visiting lecturer without a job posting as well.
  • QUESTION: I've literally never applied to academic jobs before. Is it standard to apply through the portal and then follow up with the search committee chair via email, if their email is linked? That seems like an overstep to me, but I saw something about doing this on Reddit. I trust this wiki more than I trust Reddit. Answer: Oh goodness no. The only time to reach out to a search committee chair/contact is if you have a specific question (like, say, you are confused about something in the job ad; you had an interview and you haven't heard the result and it's well after they said you would). [I say this as someone who has not served on a committee, so take it with a grain of salt--but this is my sense] A2: The answer is a resounding No. So long as you receive the email confirming that your submission is in, you're good. In extreme cases where you don't (due to spam filters), the best you can do is to reach out to department secretary or staff to check it for you. Never the Chair, though.
  • QUESTION: If a job listing specifies MFA as a requirement, is it a waste of time to apply with an MA/PhD and more substantial than asked for publication record? Answer: Not a waste of time. I've had success as an MA/PhD holder for jobs that cite the MFA requirement, though it's possible I've been first-round booted from others, of course, for the credential problem. A2: I have an MA and PhD in Creative Writing and have never had an issue with applications. If you have a book and teaching experience, I don't think it really matters. Though the PhD can be helpful because it signals that you've had more extensive lit training and could possibly also teach literature. Not that MFAs don't teach lit, but in some departments the lit faculty are more comfortable with faculty teaching lit if they have a PhD. A3: if the MA or PhD is not in creative writing specifically, it may not have a strong chance.
  • Has anyone heard from Claremont McKenna or Williams? (10/30) No word from either of them. Update: Student at Williams reports the job has been offered and accepted (CMC already posted same).
  • Does anyone know what happened with the position at Sonoma State? The posting seems to have vanished. Answer: They went on a hiring freeze because of financial troubles. See here: https://localnewsmatters.org/2024/10/29/sonoma-state-university-feels-financial-sting-of-falling-enrollment-imposes-hiring-freeze
  • Seconding the above — seems like apps previously submitted still say “under review,” but position description is gone. Maybe closed early due to inside hire? Answer (kinda): The wording in the original ad was: "The position will remain open until filled. Early response is encouraged." Perhaps, they found someone they couldn't refuse?
  • Do we think interview // material requests for poetry have gone out yet and they're just not added yet? Or they are just taking forever or ??
  • Anybody know what's going on with Brown? People have posted they got rejections last week and this week. Has anybody gotten a request for more materials or an interview? Haven't heard anything either way—is it possible they are doing a batch by week? That seems so time consuming... Answer: They seem to have gone out at different times, in batches by the manual Interfolio function.
  • QUESTION: Anyone in a difficult position with references? I have a PhD in English and have published a lot, but no MFA, and no real connections to writers who can write me references from inside the university system. I can get a reference for teaching composition as an adjunct, but no creative supervisors. I assume I can't turn to friends or agents, so I'm really not sure what to do. Answer: You can ask friends to write a letter of recommendation. Most of the letters I have seen (on hiring committees) and almost all the letters I have requested to have written on my behalf came from friends (who are also writers or professors). It's a very small world, anyhow. Answer: You should be able to reach out to your doctoral committee for references, particularly since they will be able to speak to your academic engagement, research and ability to collaborate, teach and participate in service. I would find it odd (were I on the hiring committee) if you did NOT have at least one of these people as reference.
  • QUESTION: Is there still no word from Claremont? (11/30). A: Haven't heard anything yet (12/1).
  • QUESTION: Has anyone heard anything about the Stanford search?
  • Question: NC State must have hundreds of apps, but don't most univ's want to finish the process by the end of that fall term? Surely they can't be that far behind despite my assumed overload of apps. Has anyone heard anything? Suppose the process will move in earnest after the winter break? Answer: Academic searches in English/CW typically have first-round video interviews in the late fall (November/December), campus visits in the early spring semester (January-February), and offers in March or April. Of course, some searches start and end earlier (or later), but that's the typical pattern. It goes back to the days when first-round interviews happened in person at the MLA convention over winter break. (Thank god that miserable ritual is over!) Answer #2: A friend of mine received an interview request from North Carolina State University, a while ago (12/12) Answer: All Zoom interviews were completed. Answer #3: Some of the application deadlines are early December. It's unlikely than a hiring committee scoured a couple hundred applications and selected the 10 or 20 applicants it wants to interview within the two-three weeks between the deadline and the end of the semester (when they also had finals, grades due, and so on). It's normal for many hiring committees who have later deadlines (Nov 30th and onward) to reach out to candidates by the first week of January. Update: Grad student in the department reports (on private fb group) an offer has been made and accepted.
  • Question: Any news on the TT position at Colorado Mesa? Answer: Call received today to "discuss the position" (12/14). Update: Zoom interview scheduled for Jan. (12/14).
  • Question: (12/2) - Any updates on USC? Answer (12/2): Nothing yet. I applied anyway but I heard from a friend over there they had some people in mind who they reached out to from the get-go. Answer (1/20): I know of someone who has a campus visit at USC.
  • QUESTION: Any news on CUNY - Staten Island? (12/08) Answer (1/30): Yes, they have narrowed it down to two individuals for whom the committee has scheduled campus visits in late February.
  • Question (12/3): Any updates on Iowa? Answer (12/6): I heard from an applicant that remote interviews have been scheduled. (12/25) Answer: Zoom interviews were also completed. Question (12/30): Has Iowa extended invites for a campus visit yet?
  • QUESTION: Is it safe to assume that if we have not heard from positions listed here that do not have updates posted that the process has moved forward already and we likely are not in the first round? (Namely for poetry....) Answer: For the most part, yes. However, the applications with late deadlines (December and January deadlines in particular) are still likely being considered. Everything else, if you were not contacted, you will be soon enough, with a rejection (academia loves to wait until the person they've hired has 100% committed before they tell everyone else the obvious--that it's not them).
  • Question: Any news on Coastal Carolina College? (12/15) Answer: Still nothing here (12/20) Answer: Heard from a friend when this got posted that this is internal fyi (12/20)

  • Question: Just saw that College of Charleston is hiring a VAP in fiction, in addition to the t/t poetry position. Has anyone heard about the status of the poetry search? (1/10) Answer: Contacted for a Zoom interview this week (1/10).
  • Question: Has anyone heard anything about the Dartmouth nonfiction position? (1/10) Nothing. It almost feels like the search is dead on the vine. or just killed all together. (01/31)
  • Question re Western Colorado: Anybody else get an update from them that they made it to the next round of review? Trying to figure out if this went to all applicants or not bc it came from a workday email and not a personal one... YES, I also received this same email.—were you planning on replying to confirm interest? Not really sure how stuff like this works...YES, even though they requested that people write back only if they want to withdraw at this stage (because it's not TT or if they cannot commit to being on site for a week every July) I wrote to confirm my interest in remaining under consideration.

  • Question: Any word from the institutions that posted listings in September and October and still haven't notified candidates that, obviously, they aren't interviewing them but maybe sometime in April or May they will let them know that, guess what, after about the amount of time it takes to conceive and eventually give birth to a human being they "regret to inform you" that they went with someone else?
  • Question: Any updates on USC? (1/17) Campus visits have been scheduled (1/19)
  • Question: Anyone hear about a campus visit for Iowa? (1/17)
  • Heads up: For folks who may have applied to NC A&T and are waiting to hear back - I know someone who is currently prepping for a finalist job talk (01/30)
  • Question: News on VCU? Answer: I know someone who works there, and though they don't have access to full hiring committee meetings, they did share that it took a few days after the review date (1/15/25) for the committee to form and meet, and they were both impressed and overwhelmed by the number of applicants. They said they'd update me if they heard more, but that it might be slow moving, and they discussed campus visits (so maybe 2nd or 3rd round?) to be scheduled in April. I don't think they've chosen first rounds yet, but could be wrong (2/8) Answer: Zoom interviews have now been scheduled. Answer: Campus visits have now been scheduled for April.
  • Question: What is a typical hiring process for a visiting position? Do they also do campus visits, finalist interviews, etc.? Answer: It depends. There are fly outs some places and single interviews for others. I have just asked in the interview and found out then (or they map out the process/hoops somewhere along the way).
  • Question: Anyone hear from Western Carolina?
  • Question: Any updates on campus interviews for Kansas City Art Institute? Answer: I haven't heard anything (I had a first-round interview). A: I know someone who had a campus visit. Not sure of the outcome though. Update: a student there reports that an offer was made and accepted.
  • Question: What does the job talk and/or teaching demo usually entail for creative writing jobs? What about CW jobs that also have composition/rhetoric components? Answer: A typical job talk for creative writing can differ from job to job. In my experience, the committee will give you guidance on what topics to discuss. Think of it as a TedTalk with a creative writing topic. I went to a mock job talk for a post-doc friend who showcased his background, interests, and writing projects in his and landed the job. Also, be prepared for Q & A on your talk too. This might also be where they ask you about teaching other courses. Ideally, your talk should showcase your writing interests and offer the committee an insight on your approach to teaching. An example of a teaching demo would be introducing a concept on writing that leads to an in-class writing assignment. They may ask you Q&A questions about other courses you'll teach for them, so be prepared to have answers for those too. Answer: Be sure to ask the head of the committee to be specific about what they expect for the job talk. Do they want an overall presentation on your writing? Do they want you to focus on your newest project? Who will be attending? Keep in mind that if you're interviewing in an English department, you're going to be confronted by scholars, not just other creative writers, and those scholars will ask scholarly questions you may not be able to answer to their satisfaction. It's frustrating, but it's part of the process.
  • Question: Do we think the 400 million budget slam is going to affect the Columbia search?
  • Question: As of today, I've officially failed at the academic search. I'm pretty bummed since I did a campus interview & it seemed to go well. How common is it that people don't get an offer after campus interviews? Any advice for improving the chances next time (looking for something more detailed than "update your materials" and "practice your interviewing")? A: It's very common. If another candidate is ranked #1 and you're #2, then all it takes is #1 to accept, and it's over. For a little more perspective, for a job (with a 3/3 course load) was told they received 162 applications. It's a gamble each year--every search and department are idiosyncratic. Keep applying, keep up hope. A: To share a bit about my hiring journey: I graduate this May with a PhD in CW (CW MFA as well). I have one book with a solid press. I went on the market the third year of a five year PhD to test the waters and had three Zoom interviews and one campus visit. My book wasn't out yet but had won a prize and was posted. No job offer. Like OP, I was surprised I didn't get an offer from the campus visit. This year, I went on the market again and had six Zoom interviews. One campus visit for a full-time non-TT Teaching Asst. Prof. position as a generalist (one CW course a year out of 3/3). I was offered that job and accepted. So, yes, KEEP UP HOPE. You miss 100% of shots you don't take. My experience has told me to not just play, but saturate, the game, and something will come your way. Hoping this info is helpful and not obnoxious! :) [this is so generous to share! thank you!] A: Given that only one candidate gets the position, it's more common to not be offered the job. It's not a failure--it is simply the way the game works. 100-200 applicants (more for some searches), and 1 position. Anyone who gets an academic position, in creative writing no less, has accomplished something like a miracle. And most of the candidates will be qualified. Many will have years of experience and more than one book (so if you are already fretting fresh out of grad school or with one book, you are in for a seriously upsetting few years). There is no gate-keeping of the process, either. There are hundreds of webpages that offer insights, advice, and details on the hiring process for creative writing and academic jobs. You can find common interview questions, anecdotes from candidates about their campus visits, and so on. You just have to look. People have been posting this stuff for years--they just don't keep posting it annually for those who are new to the process. Last but not least: There are so few creative writing positions available (and so many candidates--old and new) that the odds are against everyone who applies. It took me three years to find my job; and then another 10 to find the next one (and hopefully last one); it took some of my writer friends several years to land their first teaching job; others, after so many years with only adjunct or visiting positions, moved on to other professions (they're all doing just fine, if not better--especially financially--than most of us in academia). A: Just to add to what others have said: no one should ever *expect* to find a full time academic job in 2025. This is a labor market situation that's so distorted—there are so few jobs for the number of qualified candidates—that your chances are, at every point, and no matter how good your credentials, very slim. So for god's sake don't blame yourself. The one thing you can do is ask friends who've negotiated the process to look at your materials and practice your job talk (if you get more campus interviews next year). But anyone who's in this game, and hasn't gotten a FT job, should strongly consider all their other options, all the time. A: Regarding the question on how to improve, it's hard to say because on top of considering the market in 2025, the job decision can come down to the "right fit" for the department. It's hard to predict, but it's essentially the question of the committee being able to say if they can see you as a colleague or have a drink with you, so to speak. I've been on the market a few years as PhD in CW and been lucky to get some success with visiting and non-TT positions, but I've come close a few times over the years for TT positions with lots of Zooms, a few campus visits. (With and without a book.) What helps me is that the average I hear for PhDs to get TT jobs is 3-5 years. Not every year will yield the perfect job and you don't want to settle, but the market makes it hard to have that position if you don't have job security. Cast a wide net if you can. I've become a better candidate over the years and practice has certainly helped me. It also helps me to also think of it like dating, especially with the wine and dine aspect and I don't think I've found the right one yet.
  • Question: I see that Oberlin has a new listing up for a VAP position in Fiction with the same specialties that the previous TT Fiction position had. The TT listing here says that an offer was extended on 12/1 — Does anyone know if that person ended up not taking the job, or is this posting up for another reason? Why the same focus then? A: A friend accepted the Oberlin TT Fiction position... Additional job posting is funky for sure!
  • Question: How many finalists are there typically for a creative writing fellowship? Especially in an interview process? I know there’s likely not a catch all number, but I wonder if there’s a typical range.
  • QUESTION: has anyone heard anything from Stephen F Austin? I know they completed campus visits. Have any offers been made? A: I accepted their offer last week. Just updated the entry above as well.
  • Question: Anybody hear anything about the Associate Director of Creative Writing position at Stanford? It looks like Stanford announced a hiring freeze, and some jobs are being greenlit and others blocked. Thanks!
  • Question: What's up with the Emerson/Ploughshares posting?! Just reposted the job 4/24... A: I think that was a technical error or something because it was quickly taken down again. The search had already concluded and a hire has been announced.
  • Question: Has anyone heard boo from Columbia one way or the other? The credential bar was so low I'm sure they got one billion applications, but I'm curious if there's anything on the whisper network, esp vis a vis the churn in leadership and funding over there. A: I got my rejection on May 20.
  • Question: Not posted on here but has anybody heard from the Provincetown FAWC for the poetry or fiction fellowships good or bad? I feel like they normally get back to people by now and the deadline was even earlier than normal this year. A: I got my rejection on May 6.
  • Just a thought: Can we talk about how rude and unprofessional it is when a search committee invites you for a first round interview and then never sends you a rejection? I had this happen twice this year, while also running a search of my own (for a VAP). I made sure every single person who applied got a rejection, no matter what stage of the process they reached. If a candidate is special enough for the round of 12 out of dozens or hundreds of applications, don't they at least deserve the common courtesy of an email afterward? A: It can definitely feel demoralizing and offensive (I've received a rejection two years after an interview!). That said, depending on the institution, it may be the responsibility of HR rather than committee members. Sometimes it's just the annoyances of bureaucracy.
  • Question (5/12): Has anybody heard anything about the VAP in Poetry position at University of Notre Dame? The receipt of application email said they planned to move quickly and have the search all wrapped up before the end of May. Thank you!
  • Question (5/28): Any word on interviews for the VAP in Poetry position at Notre Dame after having received a request for additional materials?
  • Question (6/2): What is the hiring process like for a NTT (Instructor of English) position at a large R1? Specifically when the search is taking place this late (June)--would a campus visit happen over the summer?
  • Question (06/12): Did they cancel the Tenure Track search for "Northeastern State University. Assistant Professor. Poetry Writing"? I saw that a few days ago they posted for a non-tenure track Visiting Instructor/Assistant Professor of English. Obviously, they could hire both. I just hadn't heard from anyone re: the TT position and then this popped up.
