Word on the Street[]

Did anyone apply on here for the University of Glasgow job at the Stirling Maxwell Center in Text/Image Studies (emblems, comics)? Deadline 11/13. Any news?

Does anyone know what the deadline is for references for the Stanford job? My letter writers seem to have received conflicting information (two different deadlines). Can anyone clear this up? -My letter writers were told two weeks from October 1st.

Has anyone had any word from USC? I guess it's a bit early to say, but I am still curious as it's been more than 3 weeks. --> I think they are just starting to read applications - I was contacted about missing materials from my original application two days ago. --> Ah, interesting. Thanks for the update!

-> any news from USC or Michigan or others? - crickets over here, also nothing from Rutgers (11/19) - yeah, crickets all around (11/20) --Michigan sending out rejections (11/20)

What about Rutgers? It's been over a month–– seems like they contacted people over the break for more materials? (12/2) Would the poster who got a zoom interview mind sharing how they were contacted (phone, email), when interviews are taking place, and, if they were told, how many candidates they’re interviewing? Thanks so much and congratulations. ––Over the phone; early next week; no information about the number of candidates. Also, I did not receive a request for additional materials over the break; that might have been a special case. (12/9)

Any news on USC or UCI? If they want to do first-round interviews before the end of the year, I assume they'll contact people soon? But if invites don't go out in the next week or so, it will probably be January? That's my gut feeling but I could be wrong. (11/25)
