  • 4 year fixed term Senior Teaching Associate in European History, post-1800, specialising in Social and Economic History
  • This is a fixed-term 4-year Senior Teaching Associate position that replaces some of the teaching of Prof Pedro Ramos Pinto while on leave and is shared between the Faculty and Trinity Hall. This post is fixed-term until 31 September 2029 or the return of the post holder, whichever is the earlier.
  • The Post is 1.0 fte and will comprise (i) A Fixed-term Senior Teaching Associateship at 0.4 fte in the Faculty subject to normal conditions of employment at the University of Cambridge (ii) A coterminous appointment at 0.6 fte in the College, with specific teaching duties, subject to their normal terms and conditions. The holder of the Post will be nominated for a Staff Fellowship at Trinity Hall, subject to approval by the relevant College bodies.
  • Teaching: The postholder will offer specialist supervision in the field of Modern European History and will contribute to the teaching of Historical Thinking papers at Trinity Hall and will be expected to supervise a number of Undergraduate dissertations and take on examining duties across a range of course and assessments. They will also be required to contribute to the MPhil in Modern European History, and, where appropriate to the MPhil in Economic and Social History and will be expected to supervise MPhil dissertations and to examine at MPhil level.

University of Toronto (CAN) - Polish[]

  • full-time tenure stream position in Polish History. The appointment will be at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026
  • the successful candidate will also be named the Konstanty Reynert Chair of Polish Studies for a five-year term, which will be renewable following a favourable review.
  • applicants must have earned a PhD degree in History or a related area, with a clearly demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching. Specialists of all areas and eras of Polish History are encouraged to apply. We seek candidates whose research and teaching interests complement and enhance our existing departmental strengths.
