The REF: for an explanation of the British REF exercise (now being mentioned in most UK job postings) see the Humanities and Social Sciences Postdocs 2011-12 Talk page . AFII 19:01, March 10, 2012 (UTC)

NB: The hiring season for European jobs tends to run later than the North American market, so that jobs posted in late Spring and Summer might still have start dates in the following Autumn; new jobs are still being posted there [June 2012]. Editing to remind North American candidates that the UK and EU job market will run on for several months - if you're willing to move, then there will still be jobs advertised well into the summer. Most of these pages still need to be created. AFII 09:49, May 24, 2012 (UTC)
