Baruch College (CUNY) - Russian/Eastern European/Jewish History

• The Department of History at Baruch College of the City University of New York invites applicants for a tenure-track assistant professorship in Russian and/or Eastern European history to begin August 2013. Candidates should be conversant with at least one other chronological period in the study of Judaism beyond their primary area of specialty. • Graduate Research Fellowship: 
• The Center for Jewish History, composed of its five partners (American Jewish Historical Society, American Sephardi Federation, Leo Baeck Institute, Yeshiva University Museum, YIVO Institute for Jewish Research) offers ten month fellowships to doctoral candidates to support original research using the collections at the Center. Preference is given to those candidates who draw on the library and archival resources of more than one partner institution. Fellows must be in residence at the Center from September 2013- June 2014 and applicants should have completed all requirements (coursework, exams, dissertation proposal) for the doctoral degree except for the dissertation.
