[1/11] I submitted early and they requested reference letters shortly after I had submitted my application, which really surprised me, because the submissions instructions state that no letters are needed yet. Did others have the same experience?
- [1/12] Same. The application is not customized for a TT search -- it's a general employee recruitment online application system, which requires contact information from references. I didn't find out that those emails were sent out until one of my references wrote to let me know that s/he had submitted the recommendation on my behalf. It's just an automatic thing, I think.
