Instructions[]
Please add jobs in the following format and order them alphabetically by institution.
TT/NT: Tenure-track or Non-tenure track.
FT/PT: Full-Time or Part-Time
For the sake of user-friendliness, please do not add more detailed content of the job ad on this page. Jobs for 2024[]
Dalhousie University[]
(Halifax, NS, Canada)
Assistant Professor, Canadian Literature
The Department of English at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia invites applications for a Probationary Tenure-Track position in “Canadian Literature” at the rank of Assistant Professor to commence July 1, 2024. The position and salary are subject to final budgetary approval. The Department of English understands that those working in “Canadian Literature” (or Literatures in Canada) will have the ability to work across the field in its historical and cultural depth from the points of contact through early writing to modernism and on to the contemporary. The research and teaching of Literatures in Canada can include active engagement with editing, publishing, and book history, as well as creative writing and decolonial and anti-racist pedagogies. The research and teaching of Literatures in Canada also requires a nuanced understanding of the ways in which Indigenous literatures and their histories exist in association with, but often separate from, Canadian identifications. As the only U15 institution in Mi’kma’ki, Dalhousie has an important role to play in ensuring that local Indigenous and African Nova Scotian literary traditions are recognized for their significance in the larger history of Literatures in Canada. TT/FT. Deadline: September 15, 2023
Weber State University[]
