9-month Professorship for History and Social Sciences, to begin Aug. 2019
The teaching responsibilities will be at the undergraduate level, though graduate level teaching may be possible in cooperation with other program needs (e.g., Humanities, College of Education), depending upon the candidate’s credentials. The selected candidate must be able to teach a broad spectrum of courses in History, which may include U.S., World, European History, as well as courses in Social Science Research and Internships. Applicants with credentials to teach other Social Science courses in the department (e.g., Anthropology, Geography) are especially encouraged to apply. The position is primarily for traditional, onground teaching. However, experience teaching and/or developing online courses is a plus, as future online teaching assignments are likely.

The ideal candidate is a generalist with a demonstrated interest in the Global South outside Latin America who can teach an introductory level course on World History since 1750 and upper-level history courses that include either the History of the Middle East or the History of East Asia.
