• Job Description: Berklee College of Music is now accepting applications for the position of Chair of the Percussion Department. Located in Boston, Massachusetts, Berklee is the world's largest independent music college and the premier institution for the study of contemporary music. • The Percussion Department includes 10 full-time and 25 part-time faculty, providing private percussion lessons and lab instruction to over 640 Berklee students. Departmental curriculum for drum set, vibraphone, marimba, hand percussion, steel pan and orchestral percussion principals supports the development of good technical facility, intensive training in sight -reading, the understanding of drum rudiments and their use in all styles of performance, improvisational skills, stylistic interpretation, and overall performance skills as applied to contemporary percussion styles. This is a twelve-month position. Initial appointment is for three years and will start June 1, 2017 or September 1, 2017 depending on availability. Compensation is commensurate with rank and professional experience.
• Candidates should be experienced educators and effective administrators, preferably with a background of successful employment in a collegiate setting. Thorough understanding of all contemporary musical styles and national recognition as a performing artist are required. A Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience is required.

Colorado Christian University: Adjunct/Affiliate Percussion/Drumline Instructor (Deadline: Open until filled)

• Description: Colorado Christian University is currently looking for a qualified instructor to teach percussion and drumline at the undergraduate level at our main campus location in Lakewood as an affiliate faculty member. The Affiliate faculty are experienced professionals, contracted on a course-by-course basis, as needed. CCU's affiliate faculty members will integrate their evangelical Christian faith in the classroom leaders.
• Other possible course includes: Percussion Techniques and Pedagogy
• Duties and Responsibilities: Teach half-hour or hour long lessons to students on a weekly basis (arranged around your schedule and the student's schedule). • The Department of Music at Graceland University is seeking a full-time, Visiting Assistant Professor of Music on the Lamoni, IA campus beginning in August 2017. Lebanon Valley College: Adjunct Instructor of Drumset (Deadline: 01 November 2016)

• The Department of Music at Lebanon Valley College seeks an adjunct instructor of drum set. The successful candidate will teach individual lessons in drum set styles and techniques. *Responsibilities include: develop appropriate course syllabi, teach 30- or 60-minute weekly drum set lessons to undergraduate students (music majors and non-majors), prepare select students for recitals, work in conjunction with jazz ensemble directors on repertoire, and participate in biannual teaching evaluations (juries).
