3. Please include the deadline and a web link to the ad/website; PLEASE follow the format of other entries.

4. For logging comments or updates, please begin your entry with a bullet point. Each entry should have a separate line.

5. For substantive comments or updates about status, interaction, etc., please include the date at the beginning of your entry so that users can scan the info quickly for new entries.

6. Please do not post names in "Accepted Offers" until an offer has actually been accepted. Arizona State University: Assistant Professor, Collaborative Piano (Deadline: 30 December 2021; review begins November 12)

The School of Music, Dance and Theatre at Arizona State University seeks an exceptional artist-teacher in collaborative piano to join our faculty. This is a full-time tenure-track appointment at the assistant professor rank, beginning fall 2022.
The successful candidate is expected to pursue a continued professional career and actively participate in performances in the School of Music, Dance and Theatre. In addition, the candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching through studio instruction of doctoral, master’s and bachelor’s collaborative piano majors. California State University, Fresno: Piano - Assistant Professor (Deadline: 15 October 2021)

Fresno State is seeking an extraordinary pianist who is committed to providing an education that will transform the lives of our highly diverse and talented students. The successful candidate will be responsible for sustaining and expanding our keyboard program. The primary teaching responsibilities include: (1) Overseeing the keyboard area, including accreditation with NASM and student advising; (2) Teaching undergraduate and graduate applied piano lessons; supervising student preparation for performances, recitals and research projects; (3) Teaching courses in undergraduate and graduate keyboard literature and other area-specific offerings as needed (e.g., class piano, piano pedagogy, collaborative piano); (4) Giving solo performances, performing with faculty colleagues and guest musicians; (5) Engaging in scholarly and/or applied research in the field of keyboard performance/pedagogy.

Curry College: Assistant Professor of Music (Choir/Piano/Musicology) (Deadline: Open until filled, posted 04 November 2021)

The Department of Visual and Performing Arts at Curry College is conducting a national search for an Assistant Professor in Music to begin in August 2022. The Department seeks a choir director and faculty member to broaden the offerings of the Music Minor in response to student interest and to expand curricular ties with areas of interest in the co-curriculum. The teaching assignment would include teaching existing music courses such as Curry's chorus (Sing!) and Introduction to the Study of Music, Culture, and Society, Music of Latin America and the Caribbean, Global Popular Music and Media Cultures, Music Theory, Western Classical Music, Music in Film, American Music, and Curry's integrated arts course Introduction to Fine Arts. Responsibilities: The qualified candidate will instruct graduate voice majors in preparation of degree recitals. The qualified candidate will also teach appropriate vocal related courses of undergraduate and graduate sequences including diction and song literature. Musical collaboration for faculty recitals will be expected. Additional duties may include instructing piano students in the graduate collaborative piano program.

Visiting Assistant Professor of Music and Postdoctoral Resident Scholar (Chamber and Collaborative Music) (Deadline: 17 December 2021)

The Indiana University Jacobs School of Music seeks candidates for a full-time two-year post-doctoral position as collaborative pianist/coach with experience in a broad range of instrumental repertoire (strings, woodwinds, brass) for the academic years 2022-23 and 2023-24. Duties will be flexible, depending on the candidate’s interests and areas of expertise. Additionally, the position includes performing as collaborative partner with faculty, guest artists and students, and coaching collaborative projects involving piano students and their assigned partners. In the fall semester 2016, the Jacobs School of Music created a new Chamber and Collaborative Music Department, in which the post-doctoral position now resides. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the development of the activities in the new department.
Basic Qualifications: A completed doctorate in collaborative piano, or equivalent training in an academic institution outside the United States, is required at the time of appointment. Consideration will be given to applicants with a doctoral degree in piano performance if they have extensive collaborative experience. Responsibilities: The successful candidate will lead, teach, recruit for, and build the piano studio at Puget Sound. In addition to teaching private lessons, the candidate will hold studio class, teach collaborative piano, and teach other courses in support of the needs of the School of Music. They will perform regularly both on and off campus, as a soloist, chamber musician, and member of the Puget Sound Piano Trio. The candidate will collaborate with colleagues in conceptualizing, organizing, and performing in the School of Music’s Jacobsen Series and other musical events on campus. They will provide oversight and support for the School of Music’s collaborative pianists, including students and professional staff. They will provide academic advising for undergraduate piano majors and serve on department and university committees as assigned.
Qualifications: Doctorate or ABD in piano or associated field, or master's degree plus significant professional experience. Commitment to culturally responsive teaching, diversity and inclusion, and community engagement. Significant experience in studio teaching. Demonstrated excellence as a pianist and chamber musician.

Preferred Qualifications: College-level teaching experience, including recruiting for and running a piano studio and teaching class piano, would be desirable. Special consideration will be given to candidates with experience in a secondary area such as collaborative piano, piano pedagogy, or music education, or the expertise to incorporate music technology into teaching and recruitment. Experience with repertoires outside of the Western canon and demonstrated experience in incorporating diverse subject matter would be highly valued.

The Department of Music, School of the Arts, Media, Performance and Design, York University invites highly qualified candidates to apply for a teaching stream contractually limited appointment in Classical Piano Performance at the rank of Sessional Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream, to commence July 1, 2022 for a three-year term.
