General Description: The Department of Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Arts (HSA) at Harvey Mudd College seeks applications for a tenure-track position in Social Psychology, for which the contract begins on July 1, 2020. We seek candidates who will teach five undergraduate courses per year, including foundational courses in psychology; a section of the department’s first-year research seminar; and courses from within their specialization. We are especially interested in applicants whose research and teaching focuses on political psychology; environmental psychology; psychology of gender, race, ethnicity, and/or socioeconomic status; and the psychology of the self, particularly in relationship to media, internet, and other technologies.
