  • schools will typically email. Last year I had few call that would confirm you wanted to interview before emailing to schedule it. They always left a voicemail if I didn't answer. Sometimes it was the search chair calling and sometimes it was the admin asst. I think it just depends on who the search chair is.

If you enter into contract with them, they will ask you to complete a "Restriction of Boycott of Israel Certification." The head of the search committee was also very disrespectful to the original candidate they offered the job to--there's little to no room to negotiate the offer.
    • Thank you for providing info like this. I'm not in the running for this position, but I'm curious...what exactly does a "Restriction of Boycott of Israel Certification" mean? Are they asking you to certify that you won't join or organize a boycott of Israel?
      • They are asking you to comply with Arkansas Code Annotated § 25-1-503.
        • In other words, yes, they are asking you to certify that you won't engage in a boycott of Israel. It's due to a state law, not a university policy, but the outcome is the same.
