University of Washington (WA) - Assistant Professor, Scandinavian Studies[]

A tenure-track appointment is intended in Swedish studies. Applicants should have the Ph.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) by the start of appointment and will be expected to participate in undergraduate and graduate teaching and independent research. University faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. Research specialization within Swedish studies is open, but candidates should demonstrate a record of excellence and promise to publish influential, visible research in Scandinavian studies that is also relevant to adjacent fields. Evidence of teaching excellence is also expected. The UW offers many interdisciplinary and interdepartmental research and teaching opportunities, including collaboration with the UW's Simpson Center for the Humanities.
