The School of Teaching & Learning is seeking a nine-month, full-time, tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor with a record of scholarship and a program of research with a focus on bilingualism and biliteracy in early childhood / elementary education. In particular we are looking for candidates who focus on young children’s development of biliteracy and bilingualism across classroom, family, and community contexts. We seek a colleague with a background in language and literacy development, the ethnography of communication, discourse analysis, sociolinguistics, linguistic anthropology, child language development, or related fields.

The School of Teaching and Learning values collaborative scholarship among colleagues within the School, the College, and across the University. The person in this position will seek and establish strong ties with colleagues<br />within and across the College and University as well as with educators in local school districts and early childhood centers.
