NOTES:
- Any news? A: Yes. They have contacted people for "an informal chat" at the LSA conference, which is quite an offputting move.
- Was that an interview? Based on the email, it was not an interview.
- Well, that's exactly the thing. Everything is an interview, so of course that was an interview, but it's a wonderful non-committal way for them to conduct interviews while not conducting interviews. I don't like this type of behaviour one bit. (Disclosure: I'm off the job market, so just venting with no vested interest.)
- Request for Skype interview (1/22). I was not at LSA.
- Skype interview request (declined) (1/23)
- Rejection email received (They said 'research interests don't match the Department's needs at this time'). (2/2) (x3)
- Invitation for campus interview (received 2/2)
